Chris and Jolynne Call, following Master Sergeant’s retirement ceremony last Friday at Hill Air Force Base. Chris Call retires from the Air Force Gold Star received Chris Call, son of Lloyd and Cathi Call of Ephraim retired from active service with 22 years in the Air Force. A retirement ceremony was held at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden last Friday. Call was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, an Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, and an Air Force Achievement Medal with three oak leaf clusters. He was named outstanding SF SNCO of the Year in 2005, and distinguished himself as a security specialist. His assignments have included postings on bases in Nevada, Panama, Washington, Texas, Germany, and Utah. Call served three terms of service in the middle east in Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Call and his wife Jolynne (daughter of E.A. (deceased) and Elaine Christiansen of Manti) have one daughter, Jessica, whom they adopted when they were in Panama.
