Robert Hess
Basic combat training
Army National Guard Pfc. Robert M. Hess, the son of Colleen Hess of Manti, has graduated with honors from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During nine weeks of training, Hess studied the Army’s mission, history and tradition. He also received instruction in and practiced basic combat skills, weapons, chemical warfare, drill and ceremony, marksmanship, map reading, field tactics, basic First Aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
Hess earned distinction as an honor graduate of the course. He is a 1995 graduate of Manti High School.
