Sanpete County is a beautiful county with lots of boundless, wide open space.
However, there is a surprising aspect to Sanpete’s vast landscape; a large percentage of official land descriptions are also boundless.
Concerned Citizens are either misleading public, or just don’t understand

After covering the courts controversy for months, including spending hours listening to county commissioners, opponents, and everybody in between, I have to conclude that many of the opponents either: a) do not understand the complexities of government, or b) are deliberately misleading people.
What is it all about? Another courthouse?!

I love Sanpete County and have felt it a privilege to serve as your commissioner. I assume this responsibility with great sincerity and commitment. The oath of office requires that we solemnly swear to support, obey, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and the constitution of this state, and to discharge the duties of our office with fidelity.
Stop the excuses for meth

Those who have not been introduced to meth are fortunate. Meth is more than just an illegal drug; its use also brings a series of life?threatening symptoms of a lifelong virus so serious that they cannot be ignored. Many families believe that meth can never affect them. However, that is simply not true. (The safest behavior for parents is to be realistic and optimistic about their youth’s activities but leave room to expect anything and everything.)

As a mother, a student and an employee I have become well acquainted with the TRIO programs, Educational Talent Search (ETS), Upward Bound (UB) and Student Support Services (SSS), offered to middle school though college-age and other adult students in the six county region.
