Charges
Ephraim
Leighann Maynard, Tooele, is charged with custodial interference, a misdemeanor.
Manti
Kent P. Dyreng, Gunnison, is charged with wanton destruction of protected wildlife and obstruction of justice, felonies, as well as, failure to tag, a misdemeanor.
Division of Wildlife Resources reported Dyreng killed a 2 by 2 bull elk, cut off one of the antlers and did not tag the animal after the kill.
Mt. Pleasent
Kelly Embleton, Spring City, is charged with failure to make a check good after actual notice, a misdemeanor.
Embleton issued a bad check to Big O Tires in Mt. Pleasant for the amount of $792.02. The check was refused by Embleton’s bank, and Embleton did not make the check good within 14 days of the notice.
Sentencing
Gunnison
Chance Topham, Gunnison, pleaded guilty to simple assault, a misdemeanor.
Sixth District Court Judge Wallace A. Lee sentenced Topham to serve 60 days in the Sanpete County Jail.
Topham was on probation when he committed this offense; his probation was revoked and then reinstated for 36 months pending on him serving the 60 days in jail.
